In case you are not aware, I recently participated in an online battlerap competition with Loud.com, where I finished as the runner up. The experience was great, it allowed me to establish relationships with producers that ordinarily I wouldn’t have been able to talk to, I was able to see first hand how the industry actually works, from creating the music to the business itself…And even though I didn’t win the grand prize I feel that I have a lot to be proud of. After all, I finished 2nd out of 30,000…Not bad for a guy who had lost his motivation to rap for a few years.

Right now I’m recording my new album, which hopefully will be released under a major label later this year. I have over 800,000 profile views on Myspace, so, the internet has been extremely helpful with regard to how many people have access to my music now. The past year has really been an eye opening experience for me because I’ve learned and gotten to see so much.

I can’t say I never thought I’d be here, because I’ve always felt I could be successful in the music industry. But, to actually be in a position where people all over the world know you, and, to have label executives know you is unexplainable. I’m right where I want to be.
